Erasmus
In the program for the mobility of individuals, Erasmus + provides two sub-programmes, the Erasmus+ for studies (https://www.unipd.it/en/erasmus-plus), to study at a foreign University, and the Erasmus+ for traineeship (https://www.unipd.it/en/erasmus-plus), to carry out an internship at a foreign company (the internships are aimed at students enrolled in a university course and who is close to the graduation, and can be carried out up to 12 months after graduation).
The Erasmus+ for studies (Erasmus + Studio, https://www.unipd.it/en/erasmus-plus) allows you to spend a period of study (up to 12 months) at one of the over 500 partner universities in one of the European countries participating in the program, or in a non-EU country. It is possible to carry out mobility for each study cycle, for the attendance of courses and exams, the preparation of the degree thesis, and the internship activities as long as it is accompanied by a period of study.
To apply, you must carefully consult the news and the information provided on the official UNIPD Erasmus website: www.unipd.it/erasmus-studio. Please, always refer to the UNIPD web page for documents and deadlines.
Destination choice
First, check the available destinations, and visit the websites of the partner institutions (specifically the pages dedicated to exchange students). Then, check that the offer of educational activities at the partner locations is relevant to your course of study.
Important: when choosing your destination, it is recommended to carefully consider the training offer of the foreign institution and its compatibility with your study plan, the language requirements, the deadlines for the application form and the rules of entry and stay in the foreign country. These aspects can often preclude departure.
Choice of study plan
After the rankings are available, and according to the dates indicated, those who have been awarded an Erasmus place and have accepted it, will have to present a Learning Agreement (LA) on Uniweb by consulting the Erasmus contact person of the CCS (i.e. study course) in advance (Prof. Gasparini for bachelor level -LT-, Prof. Dal Grande for master level -LM-). The criteria used for the approval of the study plan are based on the coherence of the disciplinary areas of the courses chosen by the student in the host institution.
Information meetings
UNIPD and the Science School organize regular meetings (live or on zoom) usually in November and December each year (check https://www.unipd.it/en/erasmus-plus and https://www.scienze.unipd.it/erasmus-studio/). The Department of Biology (DiBIO) also organizes a meeting for the studies course of the Department of Biology. This meeting is advertised through the DiBio information channels, the Natural and Environmental Sciences website and the Natural and Environmental Sciences Instagram account.
Furthermore, specifically for students of the three-year degree in Natural and Environmental Sciences and the master's degree in Environmental Sustainability and Education, an information meeting is organized for students in the 2nd year of the three-year degree (bachelor) and students of the first year of the master's degree during the lesson in the first semester, these meetings are advertised directly to students during lesson hours in the classroom and through the information channels of the Natural and Environmental Sciences courses.
